Well, here I go again! I just got the complete sound effects record library from NBC Network Radio and Tv.

This record collection was originally used at the NBC Network Radio production and Television studios at Sunset and Vine, in Hollywood. The Radio studios opened in Oct. 1938. Tv production began there in 1947.
Probably all of the early radio and Tv shows used these sound effects!
When NBC demolished its studios in Hollywood and moved to Burbank in the 60s, these records were used on Tv shows, as there was no radio studio in Burbank.

I have over 2,000 records! Many were hand made by the NBC sound effects department. Some even have people talking in the background, oops! Every possible sound effect is here. All created manually and recorded on a master record. Then copies were made as back-ups. I have many dupes, and might sell one set, or trade for? Please let me know if you are interested. I think there are about 400 to 500 extras in the set. The original 1930s record cabinets are not for sale. At this time, I have no plans to transfer the records to CD. It would take forever! I simply do not have the time,,,,
